Bloodlust is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: A Pocket Full Of Shells. Andy Rodgers has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodgers catches Bloodlust with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Bloodlust looks to land a combination but Rodgers avoids it well.
Bloodlust takes one on the button.
Bloodlust throws a right hand that misses
enabling Rodgers to counter with a crisp jab.
Rodgers fails to land with a series of punches.
Bloodlust's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Rodgers connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Bloodlust scrambles back to his feet.
Rodgers stuffs the takedown.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Bloodlust has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Bloodlust misses with a body shot
and Rodgers connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Rodgers counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Rodgers has taken the fight to the clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rodgers throws a head punch that misses.
Bloodlust blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Rodgers lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Bloodlust pulls Rodgers into guard.
Bloodlust has a closed guard, preventing Rodgers from standing up.
Rodgers wants to control from the top but Bloodlust keeps moving.
Rodgers is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Bloodlust has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rodgers can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Rodgers decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Bloodlust gets the takedown into side control.
Bloodlust tries to move to mount but Rodgers blocks the move with his legs.

Bloodlust is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rodgers is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Bloodlust has an Americana. Rodgers didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Bloodlust is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Bloodlust hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
