Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jose El Angel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harvey Pennyworth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). El Angel comes to the cage accompanied by Descending Angel. Harvey Pennyworth has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jose El Angel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Harvey Pennyworth!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Igor Prikhodko and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pennyworth connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
A decent looking cross lands there for Pennyworth.
Pennyworth scores with a decent looking hook.
Pennyworth has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
El Angel tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Pennyworth manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
It seemed like Pennyworth was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Pennyworth thuds a left hand into El Angel's body.

El Angel shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than El Angel was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

El Angel stands up and beckons Pennyworth to his feet.

Pennyworth instigates a clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nice elbow from Pennyworth.
Pennyworth lands a nice uppercut.

Pennyworth escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Pennyworth tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. El Angel manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
El Angel walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pennyworth connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed El Angel momentarily.

Pennyworth takes the fight into the clinch.
Pennyworth struggles to land a body shot inside as El Angel controls his hands.
El Angel takes an elbow to the forehead.
Pennyworth lands a nice elbow.


It looks like Jose El Angel has been cut.
El Angel tries to circle away but Pennyworth has him pinned against the cage.
Pennyworth slowing the pace effectively.
El Angel takes an elbow to the temple.
Pennyworth lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Pennyworth lands with a light punch inside.


El Angel is rocked!
El Angel taking a breather.
Oh El Angel is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Pennyworth has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but El Angel regains guard immediately.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

El Angel lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

El Angel seems to have got his legs back now.

El Angel drops back looking for a leg! Pennyworth is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pennyworth manages to kick El Angel off! El Angel jumps back into Pennyworth's guard.

El Angel pushes down on Pennyworth's leg and manages to get into half guard.
El Angel slows the pace down in half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pennyworth keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Well, if El Angel is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Pennyworth really doesn't want to stay on the ground with El Angel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

El Angel is looking for a kimura here.
El Angel is looking to advance position but Pennyworth won't allow it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
El Angel is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Pennyworth!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

El Angel throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Pennyworth has his hands clasped together but El Angel breaks the hold and Pennyworth is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by El Angel!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jose El Angel!
As Jose El Angel got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: Can you hear it, the trumpets sound for El Angel! Thank you Rio for everything you have given me. I will always hold you in my heart, this awesome torcida. '.
