Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tobias Underwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amani Tchokonte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tobias Underwood!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Amani Tchokonte!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Underwood drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Tchokonte wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Underwood has him pressed against the cage.

Tchokonte is trying to trip Underwood. He has hold of a leg but Underwood is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Tchokonte persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Underwood pulls Tchokonte in close to his closed guard and prevents Tchokonte from doing any damage or advancing position.

Tchokonte stands up from Underwood's guard - Tchokonte perhaps looking for a knockout.
Underwood tries a low kick but Tchokonte avoids it.

Tchokonte closes the distance and pushes Underwood back into the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Underwood tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Tchokonte gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Underwood.

Underwood tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Tchokonte just stands there and leans against the cage.

Tchokonte has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Underwood uses from the top position.
Underwood will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Underwood wants to stand but Tchokonte is controlling his posture from full guard.

Tchokonte lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.


Tchokonte decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Underwood, up you get!

Underwood gets caught napping as Tchokonte dives in and scores a takedown. Underwood manages to retain guard.

Underwood knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tchokonte on the ground.

Underwood is trying to control the position but Tchokonte postures up.

Underwood tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Tchokonte slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Underwood pulls Tchokonte in close to prevent any damage.

Tchokonte stands and steps away. Underwood gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Tchokonte is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Underwood's half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Tchokonte in particular looking to stall.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Tchokonte has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Tchokonte throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Underwood really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Tchokonte is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Underwood is controlling him.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Tchokonte throws a sloppy head kick and Underwood moves out of range easily.

Good leg kick by Underwood there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Tobias Underwood is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Underwood is trying to drag Tchokonte to the mat but Tchokonte just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Tchokonte has Underwood pressed against the cage, preventing Underwood from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Tchokonte is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Underwood sees it coming and defends easily.

Underwood makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tchokonte connects with a nice short shot to Underwood's temple.
Tchokonte is pressing down on Underwood's thigh, looking to free his foot. Underwood is holding on for now.

Tchokonte is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Underwood utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Tchokonte is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Underwood has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Amani Tchokonte showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!



Tchokonte closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Underwood explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Underwood wants to control from the top but Tchokonte keeps moving.
Tchokonte is adopting a defensive guard.
Underwood trying to control the position from guard on top but Tchokonte is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Underwood is looking to slow Tchokonte down with leg kicks.

Tchokonte bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Underwood trying to control but Tchokonte flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Tchokonte really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Underwood.
Underwood is holding onto Tchokonte's left hand, preventing any choke attempts.

Underwood is trying to control the position but Tchokonte manages to sink in the RNC - Underwood is forced to tap!

Amani Tchokonte spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
