The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Radbod Blank and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patat blocks the body kick.
Patat cracks Hammar with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
It looks like Frank Hammar has been cut.
Patat connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Hammar chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Patat looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Patat throws a good cross that connects.

and Hammar counters with a nice body kick.
Bernie Patat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Patat misses with a two punch combination.
Hammar gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Patat.

Hammar throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Patat works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

and Patat counters with a nice uppercut.
Patat scores with a nice head shot.
Hammar thows a leg kick but Patat checks it
and Patat counters with a straight right hand.
Patat throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Patat throws a body shot but no joy.
Patat lands with an overhand left.
Patat misses with an attempted mid kick.
Patat pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hammar throws a counter high kick but Patat was just alert enough to avoid it.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Patat lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hammar has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hammar and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Nice uppercut there from Hammar.
Patat throws a right hand that misses
and Hammar counters with a low kick, right behind Patat 's knee.
Hammar takes one to the side of the head.
Patat throws a sloppy head kick and Hammar moves out of range easily.
We've been told by Hammar's head coaches at The Fallen Warriors Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Hammar scoring well with a low kick there.
Hammar looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Patat thuds his right hand into Hammar's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Good exchange - Patat coming out on top.

Hammar shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
It seemed like Patat was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hammar throws a wild body kick that Patat sees coming a mile off.
Hammar lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Hammar lands a jab to the head.
Hammar dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Patat. That did some damage!
Hammar has Patat up against the cage in a clinch.
A body shot lands from Patat.
Patat lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
The referee is keeping an eye on Hammar - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Patat lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
A nice right hand lands inside from Patat.
Patat swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Patat gets through Hammar's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Patat lands an uppercut.

Hammar with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Hammar throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Patat blocks it with crossed arms.
Patat avoiding damage as Hammar throws knees to the body.

Frank Hammar's cut is getting worse.
Patat is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Hammar is trying to maintain a safe position but Patat gets an underhook and turns Hammar into the cage.

Hammar trying to stall but Patat improves his position.
Patat lands with a left to the head.
Patat scores with a nice hook to the head.
Hammar is rocked!

Oh Hammar is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Patat creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Hammar's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Hammar drops to his knees and Patat pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bernie Patat!
