The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lofton looks to score with a jab to the body but Hardin is just out of range.
Lofton throws a head kick but Hardin moves out of range.
Lofton tries to clinch but Hardin moves out of range.
Hardin looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Hardin showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Lofton lands some strikes from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lofton wants to sweep but no luck.

and Hardin counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lofton won't be happy with that.

Hardin scores with a couple of short elbows.
Lofton tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hardin wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Hardin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
