The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Bain, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bain connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
A combination from Bain does no damage.
Bain lands a two punch combo.
Bain scores with a decent looking hook.
Bain rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Johnson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Bain paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Johnson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Bain tries to bum rush Johnson with a series of wild strikes but Johnson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Johnson tries to clinch up but Bain circles away and keeps his distance.
Johnson closes the distance and clinches up with Bain, looking for a takedown. Johnson pushes Bain against the cage but Bain circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Johnson misses with a double jab
and Bain counters with a one-two to the body.
Johnson looks gassed!
Bain stuffs the takedown attempt from Johnson. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Bain! Johnson is out on his feet! Bain rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Johnson is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Johnson is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
