Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Garrett Trujillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abra Solos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Abra Solos has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Garrett Trujillo's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Garrett Trujillo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Abra Solos!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Bruno Lombardi and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Solos misses with a jab, cross combination.

Trujillo moves into the clinch.
Solos lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Trujillo backwards.


It looks like Garrett Trujillo has been cut.

Solos breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Solos has managed to clinch.
Trujillo wants to break the clinch but can't.
Trujillo is trying to push Solos away but Solos has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Solos stalling the fight.
Trujillo is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Solos gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Trujillo is fighting off a takedown attempt but Solos is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Trujillo to the mat. Trujillo regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Solos stays in close to Trujillo's body and controls the position.

Trujillo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Solos defends it easily.

Solos decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Solos fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Trujillo sprawls well initially but Solos persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Solos is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Solos is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Trujillo is just riding it out for now. Solos eventually gives up the hold.
Trujillo wants to control but Solos is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Solos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Trujillo swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Trujillo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Solos ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Trujillo moves away.

Trujillo gets tackled into the cage by Solos. Solos maintains the clinch.

Trujillo is trying to force a seperation but Solos has the dominant position.
Trujillo is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Solos lands a takedown into guard.
Trujillo pulls Solos in close to prevent any damage.
Solos loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Solos has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Trujillo can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Solos controls the pace.

Trujillo is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Solos is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Trujillo fails with an attempt to clinch.

Solos gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Solos lands a nice knee to the body.
Solos is pressed up against the cage. Trujillo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Solos down to the mat. Solos avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Trujillo enables Solos to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Trujillo manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Trujillo can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Solos controls the pace.

Solos wants to lay and pray for a moment but Trujillo keeps working.

Abra Solos is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Abra Solos comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Solos has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
