Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Federico Manta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dorian Yates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Manta's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Ultima Corsa by Mondo Marcio. Dorian Yates has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Federico Manta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, Dorian Yates!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yates throws the left hand but Manta avoids the punch easily.
Manta keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Yates.
A counter left hand to the body from Manta misses its target.
Yates looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Manta is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Yates.
Yates lands a jab to the nose.
Manta throws a hook but Yates blocks it.
A little jabbing left from Yates on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
We've been informed that Yates has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Yates takes a swing at Manta's ribcage but misses.
Yates feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Manta's calf.
Manta tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Yates was well out of range. Poor timing from Manta.

Yates takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Yates fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Manta checks it well.

Yates throws an overhand right that lands on Manta's shoulder, as Manta tries to avoid the shot.
Yates takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Manta wants to sweep but no luck.
Manta seems keen to control Yates's posture.

Yates drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Manta dives on top into guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Yates wants to sweep here but Manta controlling him for the moment.
Manta stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Yates swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Yates keeping moving, preventing Manta from controlling successfully.
Yates wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Dorian Yates will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Manta uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Yates.

The crowd cheers as Yates lands an impressive looking overhand right. Manta doesn't seem phased though.
Manta is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Manta lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Yates has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Yates and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Yates lands a nice hook to Manta's body. Manta takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Dorian Yates is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Yates throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Manta throws a low kick but Yates avoids it.
Yates feints a counter leg kick.
Manta lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The fighters circle momentarily. Manta darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Manta cracks Yates with a hook to the temple - Yates is on wobbly legs here! Manta swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Yates falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Manta wins by TKO!
