Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yngve Stolt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Teppo Tavi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stolt comes to the cage accompanied by Dropkick murphys - Johnny i hardly knew ya. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Tavi.

and Stolt cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Stolt is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Tavi turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Stolt avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Stolt is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Tavi lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Stolt is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Tavi throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Stolt fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Tavi has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Stolt lands a left and a right that sends Tavi crashing to the canvas! Stolt dives into mount looking to finish!

Stolt tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tavi can do anything to dispel that myth.
