Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, David Malinski!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reed moves into the clinch successfully.

Reed gets control of Malinski's arms and successfully pulls guard. Reed will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Malinski keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Reed's head.

Malinski has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Reed is proving hard to escape from.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Malinski tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Reed presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Malinski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reed. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Reed fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Reed decides to stand up.
Malinski tries a head kick but it misses.
Malinski swats away the attempt to clinch by Reed.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Reed breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Malinski connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Malinski tries to close the distance and clinch but Reed swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
David Malinski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Malinski decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Reed desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Reed has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Malinski is looking to stall here but Reed recovers full guard.

and Reed counters with a left and a right that stings Malinski.
Malinski tries to close the distance and clinch up but Reed swats him away and circles back towards the center.
It looked like Reed wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Malinski closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Reed to the mat! Reed manages to get full guard.

Reed has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Malinski has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Malinski's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Malinski darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Malinski closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Malinski wants to clinch up but Reed keeps it at a distance.

Reed lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Malinski is wriggling around trying to escape.
BOOM! Reed connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Reed prevents Malinski from getting the reversal.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Malinski is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Reed's half guard.

Reed has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Malinski is on him like a limpet, forcing Reed back against the cage.

Reed is trying to trip Malinski. He has hold of a leg but Malinski is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Reed persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Malinski is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Reed dives into side control.


Reed is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Malinski has escaped the position, nice work there.

Reed thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Malinski managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Reed.
Malinski throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Malinski is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Malinski looking for a sweep but Reed has passed into full mount! Oh no!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Malinski is looking to improve his position but Reed isn't that keen on the idea.
Reed is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Malinski can do to turn this around?

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Reed, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
