Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joe Flyn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ante Horvat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Andrew Berry and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horvat fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Flyn sprawls well initially but Horvat persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Horvat trying to pass the guard but Flyn defending well.
Flyn on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Flyn tries to get out of the position.
Horvat seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Flyn does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Horvat is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Flyn defends it well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Flyn is struggling to control the position.
Flyn breaks the clinch.
Horvat has closed the distance and engaged Flyn in a clinch.
Horvat has Flyn pressed against the cage, preventing Flyn from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Horvat has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Flyn can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Flyn wants to stand but Horvat has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Horvat controls Flyn momentarily but Flyn frees himself.
Flyn will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Flyn would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Horvat shoots in and bounces Flyn off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Horvat gets to his feet. Flyn looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Flyn appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Horvat clinches up with Flyn and pushes him back against the cage.

Horvat tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Flyn has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Horvat throwing hammer fists to the chest of Flyn. What's that going to do exactly?

Horvat's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Flyn is looking to stand but Horvat has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.

Flyn wants to stand up but Horvat is controlling him.

Ante Horvat is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Horvat clinches.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Horvat pulls Flyn into guard.
Flyn has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Horvat is proving hard to escape from.
Horvat is striking but Flyn is not phased and passes to half guard.

A close second round but Ante Horvat will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Flyn enables Horvat to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Flyn manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Flyn is looking to stand up but Horvat isn't so interested in that idea.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Horvat accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Horvat has taken the fight to the clinch.
Horvat drags the fight down to the ground.
Horvat is looking for a triangle here but Flyn uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Horvat tries to bench press Flyn off him but Flyn keeps the position.
Horvat takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Flyn tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Ante Horvat comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Horvat has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
