The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Burningrom has managed to clinch.
Burningrom tries to break the clinch but Bacon is controlling the position.

Bacon pulls Burningrom into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Burningrom accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Bacon tries to strike from the bottom.
Burningrom throws a big right hand that misses.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bacon is trying to keep Burningrom in close.

It looks like Max Bacon has been cut.
Burningrom has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Burningrom gets to his feet. Bacon looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bacon shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Burningrom throws Bacon to one side and escapes!
Bacon is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A frustrated look appears on Burningrom's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Bacon wants a takedown but no success here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Max Bacon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Burningrom has Bacon pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bacon manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Burningrom working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bacon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Burningrom is tightening it up a little... Bacon has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Bacon reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Bacon taps out! Nice BJJ there by Burningrom!
