PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Juan Pablo Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kimble Cho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Green kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Metallica - Unforgiven. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Juan Pablo Green!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 38 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kimble Cho!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green throws a right and a left that both miss.
Cho ducks under a wild hook from Green.

Green shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Cho wants to stand back up but Green manages to pass into side control.
Cho is looking to regain half guard here but Green keeps moving and retains side control.
Sloppy strikes there by Green.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Green tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cho swivels and escapes.

Green shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cho pinned against the cage. Cho gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Green fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Cho checks it well.
Cho lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Cho scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Green shoots in and drives through. Cho sprawls well.
Cho throws out a counter right but Green avoids it with no problem.

Cho fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Green looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Cho feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Greens jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Cho stuffs the takedown.
Cho lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Cho, right into the meat.

and Cho counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Kimble Cho is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Cho bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Green's head backwards.
Cho ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Cho moves into range and connects with a jab.
Green motions for Cho to come forward. Green throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Green looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Oh Green is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Juan Pablo Green overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Green takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
