The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greater closes the distance and pushes Higgins back into the cage.

Higgins drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Greater gets the underhooks and prevents it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Higgins tries to get to full guard but Greater has control of the leg.
Greater frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Higgins slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Greater is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Higgins gets full guard.
Greater gets to his feet - Higgins follows without any prompting.
Greater decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Greater content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Greater prevents Higgins from improving his position.

Greater wants to work for an arm triangle but Higgins is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Greater decides to stand up, so the ref orders Higgins to his feet.
Oooooh!!! Greater has knocked Higgins down with a huge combo! Greater steps away and waves a wobbly Higgins back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Greater cracks Higgins with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Greater unloads with some shots from mount but Higgins bucks and avoids them well.

Greater postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Higgins badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Greater around the waist but Greater pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Greater is the winner by TKO! Greater jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
