The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sobieski misses with a double jab

and Gill counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Sobieski is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Sobieski wants to break the clinch but can't.

Gill pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Sobieski misses with a low kick.

Gill gets tackled into the cage by Sobieski. Sobieski maintains the clinch.

Gill gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Sobieski regains guard.
Sobieski wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Gill manages to pass to side control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Sobieski stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sobieski wants it to stay on the feet.
Sobieski bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Gill darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
