Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Shimada and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ishida needs to keep his hands up - Burzaka had a free shot at his head there.
Ishida pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Ishida looks to land a left hand but Burzaka moved out of range nicely.
Burzaka looks to score with a jab to the body but Ishida is just out of range.
Burzaka ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ishida moves away.
A lazy left from Burzaka finds it's target.
Burzaka will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Burzaka jabs Ishida to the body, keeping him at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Burzaka looks to throw the jab but Ishida is out of range.
Burzaka throws a good cross that connects.
Burzaka could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Burzaka throws a right and a left that Ishida avoids nicely.
Ishida slips a straight right by Burzaka.

Ishida has taken the fight to the clinch.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Ishida.
Burzaka is trying to break the clinch but Ishida is controlling him.
Burzaka manages to pull guard.
Ishida loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Burzaka is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Ishida loads up with a big shot that hurts Burzaka! He's pulled Ishida in close but Ishida has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Burzaka survive? More strikes from Ishida and Burzaka is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!

Masaya Ishida was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
