Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buster Hymen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Velasquez is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Kryptonite. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Buster Hymen!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cain Velasquez!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Steve Erwin and Ron Honeybunn.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hymen jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Velasquez tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hymen defends well and Velasquez ends up having to push Hymen into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Velasquez drives through with a takedown into Hymen's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Hymen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Velasquez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hymen has managed to get both his arms back between Velasquez's legs - danger averted.

Hymen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Velasquez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Velasquez is looking for a sweep. Hymen is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

That was a close round but I would say that Buster Hymen will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Velasquez fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Velasquez on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Hymen seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Hymen looks to land a body kick but Velasquez moved away.
Velasquez with the counter takedown but Hymen avoids it easily.

Velasquez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hymen tries to avoid it but Velasquez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hymen to the ground. Hymen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Velasquez shoots in looking for a takedown. Hymen tries to sprawl out of it but Velasquez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hymen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Hymen is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Velasquez has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Hymen's face.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Velasquez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Hymen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
No joy there for Hymen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

This has been an exciting period of action!
