Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kasey Strong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Jorge Garcia and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Strong to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rodriguez has momentary wrist control but Strong slips an elbow through the middle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rodriguez controls Strong momentarily but Strong frees himself.
Rodriguez looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Rodriguez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Strong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rodriguez throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Rodriguez has his foot on Strong's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Strong works his way back into a safe position though.
Rodriguez wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Strong wants to stand and escape but instead Rodriguez has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Rodriguez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Strong is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Rodriguez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Strong.
Strong is looking for a kimura but Rodriguez is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Strong to get the leverage.

Strong is nestled in close to Rodriguez, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Strong decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Strong connects with a nice short shot to Rodriguez's temple.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Strong is working to tighten his grip on Rodriguez's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Rodriguez has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Strong is really squeezing tight and eventually Rodriguez passes out! Strong breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
