Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Daniello Pablo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Curtis Henry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 21 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Daniello Pablo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Curtis Henry!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Sergei Dronov and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pablo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Henry looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Henry avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Pablo.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Henry can do anything to dispel that myth.
Pablo in side control, throwing shots but Henry defends.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sloppy strikes there by Pablo.
Henry is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Pablo asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Henry takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pablo throws an elbow but Henry slips to the side and avoids it well.

Henry is trying to buck Pablo off.

Henry parries the strikes from Pablo easily there. Pablo is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Henry to escape.

Pablo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pablo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Pablo is working Henry over with some ground and pound from side control.
Henry is not content to let Pablo control the position.
Pablo fails to land a wild elbow strike.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pablo happy to just control the position for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pablo stands up.
Curtis Henry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Henry closes the distance and pushes Pablo back into the cage.

Pablo has Henry pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Henry manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Henry throws a knee to the head but misses.
Henry with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Pablo is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Pablo goes for a takedown attempt but Henry pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniello Pablo. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Henry has closed the distance and engaged Pablo in a clinch.

Pablo blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Pablo has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Henry is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Henry is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Pablo is defending well for now.

Pablo is trying to pull guard but Henry has him pressed against the cage.

Henry lands an elbow inside that Pablo shrugs off.

Henry stops a takedown attempt from Pablo.
Pablo is looking to take this one to the mat.
Pablo tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Henry smiles and moves away.

Henry has taken the fight to the clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pablo is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Henry is defending well.

Pablo is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Henry can't fight it off and eventually Pablo manages to take the fight to the floor. Henry looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Henry wants to stand but Pablo is controlling the position.
Pablo working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Curtis Henry dominated that round.
That's time! Pablo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Henry moves into the clinch.
Henry misses with a knee to the head.

Henry looking to throw knees to the head but Pablo is blocking nicely.
Henry tries to land knees in the clinch but Pablo avoids the damage to the body.
With the fighters up against the cage, Henry throws an elbow but misses.

Pablo ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Pablo no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Pablo is adopting a defensive guard.
Henry tries to stand but Pablo is controlling from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pablo has his foot on Henry's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Henry works his way back into a safe position though.
Pablo has Henry pulled in close to control his posture.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pablo is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Pablo has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Henry doesn't defend quickly enough and Pablo has managed to lock this one up! Can Henry escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Pablo on a fantastic submission victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Daniello Pablo!
Daniello Pablo decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
In defeat, Curtis Henry stepped up to the mic, saying 'I will be back next time better than ever whooping some ass.... '.
