Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gurney Halleck!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Alyssa Summers and Chad Campbell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cane drops his hands momentarily and Halleck takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Cane fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Halleck.
Cane works the jab nicely.
Halleck misses with a straight left.
Halleck throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Cane counters with a body kick.
Cane lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Cane ducks under a wild hook from Halleck.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Halleck has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cane connects with a leg kick. Halleck looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Cane seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Cane cracks Halleck with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Halleck looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Cane finish him?

Halleck is rocked!
That kick from Cane tenderised Halleck's leg. Halleck is trying to keep his angry face on.
Halleck is still on wobbly legs! Can Cane finish him?

Cane connects with a leg kick. Halleck looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Cane! Halleck is out on his feet! Cane rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Halleck is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Halleck is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
