Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Manjuelez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Katsuya Yasumi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Manjuelez comes to the ring accompanied by el Jarabe Tapatio. Yasumi has chosen Lunchmoney Lewis-Real Thing as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pablo Manjuelez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Katsuya Yasumi!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Shimada and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Manjuelez tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Yasumi was well out of range. Poor timing from Manjuelez.
Manjuelez looks to clinch
and Yasumi counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Manjuelez shoots in for a takedown but Yasumi shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Manjuelez is trying to control the action in half guard but Yasumi is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Yasumi pushes Manjuelez off but Manjuelez dives into side control.
Yasumi manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

It looks like Yasumi might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Let's hope that Yasumi has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Manjuelez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Manjuelez is trying to control but Yasumi manages to pass to mount!

Yasumi with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Yasumi is working for a kimura but Manjuelez is defending it quite comfortably.
Manjuelez wants to control but Yasumi is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Yasumi is landing with some decent strikes but Manjuelez is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

It looks like Pablo Manjuelez has been cut.
Yasumi loads up with a big shot that hurts Manjuelez! He's pulled Yasumi in close but Yasumi has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Manjuelez survive? More strikes from Yasumi and Manjuelez is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Katsuya Yasumi!
Katsuya Yasumi very nearly forgot to thank Sun-Tzu amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
Pablo Manjuelez was interviewed post fight and said 'Puto madre es muy fuerte, Estaré de vuelta más fuerte'.
