Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Malcolm Townsend!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Klaus Kristapoff!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Townsend shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kristapoff but Kristapoff pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kristapoff throws a head kick that misses
and Townsend counters with a left and a right that stings Kristapoff.
Townsend keeps the fight on the outside.
A quick step to the side and Townsend tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kristapoff shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kristapoff was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Kristapoff trying to control the action but Townsend is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kristapoff has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Townsend uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kristapoff.

Kristapoff closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Townsend's guard.

Kristapoff tries to pull guard but Townsend won't allow it.
Kristapoff wants to take the fight to the mat but Townsend manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Townsend drags the fight down to the ground.

Kristapoff drops back looking for a leg! Townsend is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Townsend manages to kick Kristapoff off! Kristapoff jumps back into Townsend's guard.

Townsend scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Kristapoff decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Townsend pushes Kristapoff off and gets back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kristapoff is looking to clinch but Townsend is avoiding it.
Townsend jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

Kristapoff tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kristapoff has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Townsend knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kristapoff on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Townsend tries to buck Kristapoff off but Kristapoff is having none of it.
Kristapoff wants to lay and pray for a moment but Townsend keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kristapoff is trying to get an arm triangle but Townsend is defending well.

Klaus Kristapoff showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
