The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Junior bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Karlsson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Junior advances to mount.
Karlsson is trying to escape the mount.
Junior pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Junior with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Junior wants to finish this one by submission but Karlsson is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Junior.
Karlsson has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
