Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edvin Rinne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jean Labosky!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Jorge Garcia and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Labosky bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Labosky closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Labosky misses the shot to the body.
Rinne throws a counter high kick but Labosky was just alert enough to avoid it.
Labosky uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rinne.
Labosky tries a head kick but it misses.
Labosky bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Rinne misses the shot to the body.
A lazy left from Labosky finds it's target.
Labosky misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rinne.
Labosky throws a leg kick
and Rinne connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Labosky has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Rinne lands a right hand that snaps the head of Labosky backwards.
Rinne makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Rinne tries to throw a body punch but Labosky avoids it by throwing Rinne back against the cage.
Rinne tries to land knees in the clinch but Labosky avoids the damage to the body.
Rinne lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Rinne escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Labosky throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Rinne counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Labosky lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rinne circles away quickly and effectively.
Labosky lands with a nice body punch.
Labosky tries to bum rush Rinne with a series of wild strikes but Rinne uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
It looked like Rinne wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rinne is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Labosky.
Rinne swings widly with a right hand
and Labosky counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Good leg kick by Labosky there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Labosky tries to land a front kick but Rinne steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Rinne missing with a left hand there. Labosky was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Labosky misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

letting Rinne counter with a right hand.
Labosky lands a lovely overhand right.
Rinne looks to land a right hand but Labosky moved out of range.

Rinne throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Labosky just misses with a punch to the body.
Labosky tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rinne was well out of range. Poor timing from Labosky.
Labosky feints and then cracks Rinne's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Rinne down.
Labosky lands a head kick. Rinne smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rinne keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Rinne was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Labosky swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Labosky ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rinne moves away.

Labosky takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Labosky.

A little feinted left hand from Rinne on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Rinne lands a jab.
Rinne keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Rinne feints with a jab and clips Labosky right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Labosky is sent crashing into the canvas and Rinne leaps in for the kill! Labosky tries to get to his feet but Rinne is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Labosky is in need of a savior and steps in!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Edvin Rinne!
