Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adam Red (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arek Kot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Adam Red!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Arek Kot!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Ren Mimura and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kot changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Red looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Kot wants to take a breather but Red manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Kot.
Kot looking to sit in guard and control but Red gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Kot is pulling down on Red's head. It's preventing any offense from Red, at least for the moment.
Red works a leg free and moves into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kot looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Kot is trying to get back to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kot is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Red's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Red's back!
Red is trying to remain composed but Kot is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.

Kot has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Red has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Kot.

Kot has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Red.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kot lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Red hold on?!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Red has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Kot.
Will Kot go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Red is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kot is looking for the choke from the back position but Red is controlling his hands well.

Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Kot.

Red defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard.

Kot looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Kot lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Red is trying to control the position but Kot postures up.
Kot loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Kot closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Red's guard.

Kot is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Red is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Red has escaped and now he's on top!

Kot pulls Red in close to prevent any damage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kot is continuing to stall.
Kot is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kot is pulling down on Red's head. It's preventing any offense from Red, at least for the moment.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Kot rushes Red and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Red tries for a takedown. No joy.
A head punch on the inside from Red fails to land.
Red drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kot gets the underhooks and prevents it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Red wants to take the fight to the mat but Kot manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Adam Red. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kot lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Red is trying to control but Kot passes into side control!

Kot tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Kot misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Arek Kot showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Kot throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Red counters with a series of strikes. Kot will be more careful next time no doubt.
A clash of legs there as Red blocks the low kick.
Red fires out a quick counter leg kick but Kot just manages to avoid it.

Kot darts in and clinches Red up against the cage.

Kot is trying to trip Red. He has hold of a leg but Red is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Kot persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Kot postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Red has momentary wrist control but Kot slips an elbow through the middle.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Kot lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Kot drops back looking for a leg! Red is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Red manages to kick Kot off! Kot jumps back into Red's guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Kot slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Kot slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Kot shoots in and gets a takedown into Red's guard.

Kot stands up over Red, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Kot throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Red works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Kot content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Arek Kot is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kot accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Kot has Red up against the cage in a clinch.
Adam Red has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Kot jumps into guard, dragging Red to the mat.

I've got Kot winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
