And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Beeboy Batongbakal!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown tries to score a power double leg takedown but Batongbakal sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Brown somewhat.
Batongbakal circles away from the clinch attempt
and Batongbakal counters with a nice double leg into side control. Brown won't be happy with that.
Batongbakal working the head and body with strikes.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Batongbakal cracks Brown with a big right hand but Brown just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Batongbakal working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
