With a record of 3 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carly Sarmiento!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sarmiento works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

It looks like Julius Birch has been cut.
Sarmiento takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Sarmiento moves forwards but Birch connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Sarmiento is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Birch.

Sarmiento is rocked!
Carly Sarmiento seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Birch engages and cracks Sarmiento with a massive lead left hook - Sarmiento tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Birch is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Julius Birch!
Julius Birch decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
In defeat, Carly Sarmiento stepped up to the mic, saying 'I will be back'.
