The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Macfedries misses with a body kick.
Karttunen throws a front kick aimed at Macfedries's knee but Macfedries avoids it well.
Karttunen shoots in for a takedown but Macfedries shows good takedown defense.
Good leg kick by Macfedries there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Karttunen ducks under a wild hook from Macfedries.
Karttunen blocks a head kick by Macfedries.
Macfedries throws a nice inside leg kick.
Karttunen tries to clinch up but Macfedries circles away and keeps his distance.
A head kick misses from Macfedries.
Macfedries clinches.
Karttunen lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Karttunen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Macfedries tries a head kick but it misses.
Karttunen looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Macfedries cracks Karttunen with a right hand to the side of the head.
Karttunen tries to clinch but Macfedries moves out of range.
Karttunen throws a sloppy head kick
and Macfedries counters with a head kick. That will keep Karttunen thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Macfedries tries a head kick but it misses.
Karttunen throws a leg kick
and Macfedries counters with a huge head kick that drops Karttunen! The ref dives in to stop the fight and the crowd goes wild!
