Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shamil Abdulkhalikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chest Rockwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, David Hoff and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abdulkhalikov looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rockwell is fending him off so far but Abdulkhalikov persists. Nope, Rockwell circles away and we're back to standing.
Rockwell clobbers Abdulkhalikov with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Rockwell lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Rockwell scores with a nice head shot.

Abdulkhalikov manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Rockwell on his heels. He'll look to pass Rockwell's guard now, I'm sure.
Abdulkhalikov stands up over Rockwell, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Abdulkhalikov lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Abdulkhalikov connects with a couple of short punches.
Abdulkhalikov postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Rockwell has momentary wrist control but Abdulkhalikov slips an elbow through the middle.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Abdulkhalikov slips nicely into half guard.
Abdulkhalikov is thwarting Rockwell's attempts to control the position.
Abdulkhalikov seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rockwell does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rockwell is looking to escape.
Rockwell is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Abdulkhalikov scores with a couple of nice shots.

Abdulkhalikov winds up and cracks Rockwell with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Abdulkhalikov takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Abdulkhalikov is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Rockwell manages to escape and get back to his feet!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rockwell connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Abdulkhalikov takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Rockwell paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Abdulkhalikov shoots for a takedown but Rockwell saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Abdulkhalikov darts in looking for a takedown but Rockwell gets double underhooks and turns Abdulkhalikov into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shamil Abdulkhalikov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rockwell fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Abdulkhalikov looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Abdulkhalikov is breathing heavily.
Abdulkhalikov shoots in for a double leg but Rockwell sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Rockwell tries a quick counter leg kick but Abdulkhalikov is wise to it.
Good standup being displayed there by Rockwell as he connects with a hook.


It looks like Shamil Abdulkhalikov has been cut.
A jab lands there for Rockwell.
A left lands for Rockwell.


Abdulkhalikov is rocked!
Rockwell thumps Abdulkhalikov with a low kick.
Oh Abdulkhalikov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rockwell stuns Abdulkhalikov with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Rockwell lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Abdulkhalikov falls backwards - clearly groggy! Rockwell dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chest Rockwell!
