Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Raecius Felix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lionel Wright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wright has chosen Eazy E - Creep 'N' Crawl as his entrance music. Raecius Felix has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lionel Wright!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Felix shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Wright is trying to defend but Felix finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Felix wants to work for an arm triangle but Wright is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Felix tries to pass the half guard into mount. Wright knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Wright is staying active underneath Felix, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Wright felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Wright tries to kick Felix off but Felix keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Wright scores with a crisp jab that stopped Felix in his tracks.
Felix goes for a double leg but Wright avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Wright continues to drive forward.
Wright throws a sloppy head kick and Felix moves out of range easily.

Wright tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Felix scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Felix is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wright is just riding it out for now. Felix eventually gives up the hold.

Felix looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Felix stands up and beckons Wright to join him on the feet.

No luck for Felix with that takedown attempt.
Felix closes the distance and clinches up with Wright, looking for a takedown. Felix pushes Wright against the cage but Wright circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Wright unleashes a big counter combination but Felix bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Raecius Felix. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Felix really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Felix throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wright's waist but Wright gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Felix off to one side.
Felix takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Wright changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Lionel Wright is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Wright throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lionel Wright seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Wright drops Felix with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Felix! Wright dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
