Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brett Blair!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Verner blocks a head kick by Blair.

Blair should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Blair tries to sprawl but Verner drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Blair is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Blair makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Blair.

Blair is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Well, if Blair is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Blair perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Blair is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Blair looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Verner with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Blair throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Verner sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Blair lands a lovely overhand right.
Verner uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Blair.

Verner takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Blair connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Verner's hands.
Nice cross by Blair.
Blair lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Blair has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Verner moves away from the strike by Blair.
Blair has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
No joy there for Blair, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Verner swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Blair lands an overhand right.


Verner is rocked!
Blair lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Verner is looking to close the distance but Blair sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Verner crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Verner is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
