The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Wheeler.
Laschenko doesn't manage to clinch there - Wheeler circles away.
Laschenko tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wheeler paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Laschenko fails in his attempt to clinch.
Wheeler drops down looking for a counter takedown but Laschenko sprawls and moves away.
Laschenko scores with a jab to the jaw.
It looks like Lazaro Wheeler has been cut.
Laschenko works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Wheeler glances at the clock... BAM! Laschenko nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Wheeler crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Wheeler is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
