Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tom Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikael Lindgren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lindgren comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Come With Me kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryan stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Lindgren.
Ryan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ryan pivots, looking for a leg kick but Lindgren is out of range and Ryan settles back down.
Nice body kick from Lindgren.
Ryan looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Lindgren lands with a hook. Ryan tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Lindgren connects with a body shot that sends Ryan's belly button to the back.

Lindgren fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ryan.

Ryan throws a counter high kick but Lindgren was just alert enough to avoid it.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Lindgren has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Ryan takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Lindgren throws a leg kick but Ryan sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Ryan quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Ryan lets loose with a powerful body kick. Lindgren will feel that in the morning.

Tom Ryan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ryan finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Lindgren steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Ryan. That one must have hurt.
No joy there for Ryan, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lindgren throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

and Lindgren counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ryan needs to keep his hands up - Lindgren had a free shot at his head there.

Ryan takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Ryan throws a low kick but Lindgren avoids it.
Lindgren throws out a counter right but Ryan avoids it with no problem.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Lindgren checks a leg kick.

Ryan takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Lindgren scores with a hook to the body. Ryan takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Lindgren changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
A punch lands to the side of Ryan 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Lindgren buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Lindgren fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ryan looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Lindgren is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Ryan had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Ryan misses with a left hand
and Lindgren counters with an outside leg kick.
Ryan lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ryan gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Lindgren fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ryan avoids it really well and circles away.

Lindgren lands with a straight right. Ryan didn't see that one coming.
Lindgren feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Ryan's calf.
Lindgren avoids the head kick by Ryan.
Ryan looks to score with a jab to the body but Lindgren is just out of range.

and Lindgren makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Ryan is looking to slow Lindgren down with leg kicks.
Lindgren cracks Ryan with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Ryan dodges the punch combination from Lindgren.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Lindgren feints and as Ryan raises his hands in defense, Lindgren changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Lindgren had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ryan defends it easily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Lindgren is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ryan is aware though and is defending well.

Ryan has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Lindgren to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Ryan is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Lindgren pulls down on the head and he's put Ryan to sleep! This one is all over!
