Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stuart Mcfadden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grunstick Harley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grunstick Harley has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Harley.
Mcfadden throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

It looks like Grunstick Harley has been cut.

Mcfadden gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Harley to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Mcfadden is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Harley presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Harley pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Harley throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Harley needs to keep his hands up - Mcfadden had a free shot at his head there.

Harley jumps guard but Mcfadden stands there with Harley around his waist. Harley gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Mcfadden could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Harley tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mcfadden smiles and moves away.
Stuart Mcfadden has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Grunstick Harley.

Mcfadden throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Grunstick Harley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Harley gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Mcfadden counters by moving into the clinch.
Harley tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Mcfadden just stands there and leans against the cage.
Mcfadden has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Harley is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Harley is trying to control the action in half guard but Mcfadden is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Harley jabs at Mcfadden's body.
Mcfadden throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Harley looking to score a takedown here. Mcfadden is defending well but Harley drives through and ends up in Mcfadden's guard.

Harley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mcfadden swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Stuart Mcfadden will probably get the nod.

Harley tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mcfadden sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Harley somewhat.

Harley shoots in for a takedown but Mcfadden shows good takedown defense.
Harley tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mcfadden paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Harley has Mcfadden pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Mcfadden manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Harley ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Harley no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Harley is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Mcfadden is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Harley is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
