Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, David Sale!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Magnus Looped!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Looped shoots in and gets a takedown into Sale's guard.
Looped works over Sale with some ground and pound from guard.
Looped sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Sale's guard.
Sale is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Looped jumps into side control!
Looped controls the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Looped landing strikes.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sale is trying to escape the position but Looped is controlling the position.
Looped working the ground and pound.
Looped controls the position.
Looped's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Looped slows the pace down.
It looks like Looped might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Looped lands a nice forearm strike.
Sale wants to get back to his feet but Looped drags him back down.
Looped controls the position.
Looped cracks Sale with an elbow. That is naaassty.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Looped remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Looped is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Sale is trying to escape and Looped transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Sale is forced to tap! Nice work there by Looped! Very nice indeed!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Magnus Looped!
Magnus Looped tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
