And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halo bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A little feinted left hand from Halo on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Luatua takes a swing at Halo's ribcage but misses.
And Halo counters with a quick kick to the body but Luatua blocks it.
Halo steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Luatua.
Luatua fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Halo.
Luatua misses with a low kick.
Luatua misses with a body kick.
Halo takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Luatua forces Halo back against the cage and clinches.
Luatua tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Halo lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Luatua backwards.

I was talking to Halo's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Luatua just misses with a elbow thrown towards Halo's brow.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Halo lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Halo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Luatua scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Luatua motions for Halo to come forward. Luatua throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
A counter left hand to the body from Halo misses its target.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Luatua lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Halo has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Halo and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Robbie Luatua seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Halo steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Luatua. That one must have hurt.

A quick step to the side and Halo tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
A looping hook to the body misses from Luatua. Halo does a little dance to reset his feet.
Halo was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Luatua.
It looked like Halo was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Luatua.
Halo takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
A bone on bone clash there as Halo blocks the leg kick.
It looked like Halo was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Halo is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Luatua walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Halo checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
A left and a right from Luatua both land. Nice combination.

and Halo counters with a crisp one two that drops Luatua! Halo thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Luatua to his feet! Luatua is in big trouble!

and Halo counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Luatua out cold! What a finish! Halo is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ken Halo!
An intense looking Ken Halo took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'Kermit you are not the frog I mistook you for, you are a much more worthy opponent, and I am happy to have smashed your face with my fist, thank you for this honor. Broken Halo Pride!'.
