Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dave Freed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ed Hudson!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Jorge Garcia and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hudson throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Freed thinks about countering with a body kick.
Hudson lands a two punch combo.
Freed lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Hudson backs up against the cage.
Hudson throws a head kick but Freed moves out of range.
Freed fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hudson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Freed takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Hudson throws a one two combo.
Freed drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Freed shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hudson defends it nicely.
Hudson looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Hudson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hudson misses with a double jab.
Hudson throws a sloppy head kick and Freed moves out of range easily.
As Hudson tries to get set, Freed tries to push him back and clinch up but Hudson manages to avoid the attempt.
Hudson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hudson scores with a jab.
Hudson throws a head kick that misses.
Hudson with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Hudson throws a leg kick

so Freed counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Hudson is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Freed dives into side control.
Freed is breathing heavily.

Hudson is trying to get back to half guard.

Freed decides to stand back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Freed gets a clinch.
Freed is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Hudson pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Hudson tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Freed jumps guard but Hudson stands there with Freed around his waist. Freed gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dave Freed. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hudson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Freed walks away with a smile on his face. Hudson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Freed wants to clinch up but Hudson keeps it at a distance.

Freed moves into the clinch.
Freed stalls.
Hudson is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Freed to keep the fight standing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Freed ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Freed no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Freed seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Hudson stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Hudson lands a two punch combo.
Hudson throws a sloppy head kick and Freed moves out of range easily.
Freed throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Hudson looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Freed blocks a head kick by Hudson.
Hudson will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Hudson scores with a one two! Freed had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.


Freed is rocked!
Hudson fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Freed is out of range.
Oh Freed is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
You can follow us on Twitter at...Ooooooh Freed got wobbled bad by a big combination! Hudson presses forward with punches and knees until Freed stumbles to the ground! The ref watches Freed closely before deciding to step in and end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ed Hudson!
