Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frederic Haley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dangerous Dave (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dangerous Dave has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Haley looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Dave lands with a nice body punch.
Haley has a takedown stuffed.
Dave throws a body kick that misses.

Dave fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Dave misses with a body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dave fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Haley, pushing him back against the cage.
Haley is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Dave to keep the fight standing.
Haley tries to throw a body punch but Dave avoids it by throwing Haley back against the cage.

Dave gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Haley regains guard.

Dave is working Haley over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Haley looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Dave puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Dave is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Haley defends it well.

Haley knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dave on the ground.

Haley seems to have got his legs back now.
Haley tries to control but Dave manages to take his back.

Haley covers up after that shot from Dave.
Dave doesn't have the hooks in and Haley manages to turn into his guard.
Dave has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Dave wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dave is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Dave looking for subs off his back but Haley has passed one foot through into half guard.
Dave is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Dave regains full guard. Nicely done.
Dave bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Haley's guard.

Dave lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Dave not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Dave throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Haley works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Dangerous Dave dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Dave will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Dave tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Haley stalks Dave and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Dave's face. Dave staggers backwards, shaken.
Haley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Haley fails in his attempt to clinch.
Dave tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Dave has Haley up against the cage in a clinch.
Haley fails to pull guard.

Haley wants to take the fight to the mat but Dave manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Haley wants the takedown. Dave is fighting it off but Haley persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Dave's guard against the cage.
Dave is pulling down on Haley's head. It's preventing any offense from Haley, at least for the moment.
Dave is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Haley wants to improve his position but Dave is controlling well.
Dave slips a nice elbow through Haley's hands, connecting with Haley's forehead.

Dave lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Haley! More strikes land and this one is all over! Dave jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
