PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Denny Pang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juhamatti Pesso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pang's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Eruption. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pesso shoots in but Pang avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Pang looks to land a combination. Pesso sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

It looks like Juhamatti Pesso has been cut.
Pang wants to clinch.

Pang bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Pesso scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Pang manages to mount him!
Pang wants to control the pace but Pesso is squirming around nicely.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Pesso goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Pang turns into him and now he's in Pesso's guard.

Juhamatti Pesso has got the better of the ground game so far.

Pang throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pesso's waist but Pesso gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pang off to one side.

Pesso stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pang swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Pesso decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Pang looks for a takedown but Pesso sprawls well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Horrible takedown by Pesso or perhaps it was just good defense by Pang which made him look bad.
Pesso connects with a crisp jab.
Pang fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Pang takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Denny Pang is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Pang counters with a shoot takedown. Pesso fights it but they end up in guard.

Pesso had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Pang is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Pesso Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Pang's back instead.

I would just about give that final round to Juhamatti Pesso.
