Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 13 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Richard Dickens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
32 - 13 - 1, fighting out of London, Alfredo Torres!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dickens throws a body punch but Torres moves out of range.
Dickens shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Torres sprawls well. Torres wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dickens gets slowly back to his feet.
Torres misses with a low kick.
Dickens swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Torres blocks a jab.
Dickens scores with a jab. Torres acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Dickens misses with a wild body shot.
Dickens moves out of range of the strikes.
It looked like Dickens was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Torres.
Torres throws a right and a left that both miss.
Torres motions for Dickens to come forward. Torres throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Torres lands with a hook. Dickens tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Torres connects with a good right hand that stumbles Dickens. Dickens circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

It looks like Alfredo Torres has been cut.
Dickens tries to work over Torres's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Dickens.

Dickens keeps control of Torres as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Dickens throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Torres is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Torres's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dickens swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Torres.

Torres is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Dickens feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Dickens throws a right hand that Torres ducks under and follows up with a left that Torres also avoids with ease.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Torres creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

A relieved looking Alfredo Torres thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
