The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuusi's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Day connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kuusi scrambles back to his feet.
Kuusi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Day as he avoids it easily.
Day connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Kuusi's hands.
Day connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Kuusi takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Kuusi shoots in for a double leg but Day sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kuusi misses with a takedown attempt
and Day counters with a huge left! Kuusi is in big trouble! He's backing up but Day isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Kuusi from any more damage. A dominating finish by Day!

A relieved looking Julian Day thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
