The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rabban doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Ilmarinen counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Ilmarinen throws a series of strikes that have Rabban backpedaling.

and Rabban counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Ilmarinen!

Ilmarinen is pushing Rabban's head away, looking to escape. Rabban manages to hold on to the position though.
Rabban passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Ilmarinen!

Ilmarinen is squirming around, avoiding Rabban's attempts to control the action.

Rabban is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Ilmarinen can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Rabban is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Ilmarinen has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Ilmarinen!
Ilmarinen would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Rabban working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ilmarinen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Rabban is tightening it up a little... Ilmarinen has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Ilmarinen reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Ilmarinen taps out! Nice BJJ there by Rabban!
