Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between El Guappo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francis Lestienne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, El Guappo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Francis Lestienne!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Nard Betker and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guappo misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Lestienne closes the distance and pushes Guappo back into the cage.
Lestienne is stalling here.
Lestienne can't break the clinch.
Guappo tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lestienne smiles and moves away.
Lestienne throws a combination that misses

and Guappo counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Lestienne can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Guappo controls the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Guappo works a leg free and moves into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Guappo looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Guappo seems to be working for a kimura but Lestienne defends the submission attempt.
Guappo works his way into side control.
Guappo is looking to take a break and control but Lestienne is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Lestienne is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Guappo asserts his dominance and retains side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Guappo in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Guappo advances to mount.
Guappo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Guappo won't let Lestienne get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Guappo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Guappo seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lestienne for as long as he can get away with.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Lestienne is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Guappo controlling the pace for now.
Guappo looking to control but Lestienne is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Lestienne clinches with his opponent.
Lestienne will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Guappo up against the cage.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Lestienne just misses with a elbow thrown towards Guappo's brow.
Guappo is looking to take this one to the mat.
Guappo blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Lestienne tries to circle away but Guappo has him pinned against the cage.
Lestienne has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lestienne gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Guappo.
Lestienne throws an elbow but it's blocked.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Guappo avoids a wild elbow strike from Lestienne.
Lestienne tries a knee to the head but Guappo blocks it.
Guappo avoids the elbow strike from Lestienne, against the cage.
Lestienne throws an elbow that misses.
Guappo jumps guard but Lestienne turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for El Guappo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Lestienne takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Lestienne manages to break the clinch.

Lestienne throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Guappo tumbling to the canvas!


It looks like El Guappo has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Guappo looking for a guillotine here but Lestienne defends easily.

Guappo looking for a triangle here. Lestienne is fighting it but it looks tight! Guappo pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Lestienne is tapping out - this one is all over!
