The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kurnia shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Jenkins pushes Kurnia off and gets back to his feet.
Jenkins tries a head kick but it misses.
Jenkins throws a head kick but Kurnia moves out of range.
Kurnia is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Jenkins is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kurnia sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Jenkins is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kurnia pulls his head out easily.

Kurnia closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Jenkins quickly recovers to half guard.

Kurnia looks to move to half guard but instead Jenkins has passed into mount! Damn!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Jenkins lands with a nice body kick.

Kurnia leaves Jenkins with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Jenkins gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Jenkins wriggles free and stands up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kurnia closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kurnia must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Jenkins has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kurnia can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
