Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 68 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jaromir Jag!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 22 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tekken Slice!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slice circles away from the clinch attempt.
Slice misses with a two punch combination.
Jag throws out a leg kick but Slice moves out of range and Jag only half commits.
Jag stuffs the takedown.

Slice clinches up against the cage.
Slice blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Jag throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Slice manages to pull guard.
Jag has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Slice is proving hard to escape from.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Slice is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Jag trying to stand up but can't free himself from Slice's guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Jag wants to clinch.
Slice goes for a double leg but Jag avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Jag continues to drive forward.

Jag instigates a clinch.
Jag stalling in the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Slice successfully pulls guard.
Slice has a closed guard, preventing Jag from standing up.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Slice holds on and takes a little breather.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Slice working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jag doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jag manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Jag wants to stand but Slice is controlling his posture from full guard.
Jag is fighting to break Slice's control of his arms but Slice is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Jag wanted to stand there but Slice had control of the position.

Slice escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jag gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Slice is adopting a defensive guard.

Slice looking for a guillotine here but Jag defends easily.
Slice has a closed guard, preventing Jag from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Slice tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Jag has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Slice has his foot on Jag's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jag works his way back into a safe position though.
Jag wanted to stand there but Slice had control of the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jag won't allow Slice to sweep him here.
Slice has Jag pulled in close to control his posture.
Jag trying to stand up but can't free himself from Slice's guard.
Slice is pulling down on Jag's head to control his posture.
We've been hearing good reports from Jag's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Slice is looking for a triangle but Jag pushes his legs off easily.

Jag wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Slice's closed guard. He's half up but Slice has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Slice pivots and extends the arm, Jag falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Slice! Well done that man!
