Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Felipe Calderon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stromile Farseer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Felipe Calderon had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Felipe Calderon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Stromile Farseer!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Micheangelo Fripello and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Farseer throws a right hand that Calderon ducks under and follows up with a left that Calderon also avoids with ease.
Calderon tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Farseer manages to circle out of the way.

Calderon has Farseer up against the cage in a clinch.
Calderon pushes Farseer back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Calderon is trying to drag Farseer to the mat but Farseer just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Calderon tries a body shot but Farseer blocks it.
Farseer lands a left hand.
Farseer is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Calderon makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Calderon drops down looking for an ankle pick but Farseer pulls his leg out and moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That was a close round but I would say that Felipe Calderon will probably get the nod.

Calderon on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Calderon uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Farseer.

Calderon is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Farseer is just riding it out for now. Calderon eventually gives up the hold.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Calderon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Calderon wants it to stay on the feet.
Farseer lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Farseer shoots for a takedown but Calderon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Calderon has control of Farseer's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Farseer regains control of the situation pretty easily.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Farseer accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Calderon is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
