Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Harvey Plunker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wayne Steiner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Harvey Plunker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Wayne Steiner!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, John Roberts and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plunker lands an overhand right.
Steiner takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Plunker has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Steiner clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Plunker biding his time, controlling Steiner.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Steiner is in bad spot here.
Can Steiner hold on?! Plunker is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Plunker trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Steiner doesn't escape.
Steiner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Plunker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Steiner covering up well and avoiding damage.
Plunker will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
You can see the frustration on Steiner's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Plunker looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Plunker in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Plunker's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Steiner is bucking up trying to escape but Plunker cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Steiner tries to lock up and control but Plunker gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Harvey Plunker overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Plunker has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Steiner dives in and grabs Plunker's left leg, looking for a takedown. Plunker pushes down on Steiner's head and hops out.
Plunker appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Steiner takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
No luck for Steiner with that takedown attempt.

and Plunker counters with a two punch combo.


Steiner is rocked!
Plunker cracks Steiner with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Steiner falls to his knees and Plunker doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Harvey Plunker!
A relieved looking Harvey Plunker thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
