The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ashworth misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ashworth shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Putzillini as he avoids it easily.
Putzillini throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ashworth.
Ashworth walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Ashworth falls off balance throwing a combination
and Putzillini counters with a straight right hand.
Ashworth doesn't manage to clinch there - Putzillini circles away.
Ashworth throws a series of punches but Putzillini avoids them all with ease.
Putzillini stalks Ashworth and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Ashworth's face. Ashworth staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Pete Ashworth has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ashworth shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Ashworth takes a shot right to the bread basket.
A left lands for Putzillini.
Ashworth takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Ashworth is breathing heavily.
