Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lorenzo Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Street (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Street's choice of entrance music: The Truth. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortiz throws a solid leg kick but Street takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Ortiz.
Ortiz throws a lazy right hand but Street sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Street misses the jab.

Street wants to clinch but Ortiz slips to the side
and Street takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Michael Street seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Street punishes Ortiz's body with a nice straight punch.

and Ortiz counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Street thinking.
Street shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ortiz defends it nicely.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Street shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Street changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ortiz tries to avoid it but Street manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ortiz to the ground. Ortiz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ortiz takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

As Ortiz backs off Street throws a huge counter combo but Ortiz manages to avoid it all.

Street looks to land a left hand but Ortiz moved out of range nicely.

Street closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ortiz to the mat! Ortiz manages to get full guard.

Ortiz has his feet on Street's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Ortiz feints and then cracks Street's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Street down.
Ortiz is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Street.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
The referee is keeping an eye on Street - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Street misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Ortiz.
Ortiz tries a knee to the head but Street blocks it.
Ortiz scores with a shoulder strike.

Street is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Ortiz can't fight it off and eventually Street manages to take the fight to the floor. Ortiz looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Ortiz arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Street's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Lorenzo Ortiz!
Lorenzo Ortiz really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Machine Fight Gear logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
