PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dragon Dumitru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jurek Ogorek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ogorek has chosen Ploretaryat as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Dragon Dumitru is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dumitru clinches up with Ogorek and pushes him back against the cage.
Ogorek on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Dumitru gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Dumitru sitting in guard, not really doing much.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dumitru postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Dumitru wants to stand and escape but instead Ogorek has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Ogorek swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Dumitru has managed to clinch.
Dumitru goes for a takedown attempt but Ogorek pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Dumitru throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ogorek's waist but Ogorek gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dumitru off to one side.
Ogorek feints the counter takedown.

Dumitru is breathing heavily.

Dumitru tries to clinch there but Ogorek circles away.
Ogorek wants to counter the offense by Dumitru and move into the clinch position.
Dumitru tries a head kick but it misses.
Horrible takedown attempt by Dumitru or perhaps it was just good defense by Ogorek, which made it look bad.

Dumitru swats away the attempt to clinch by Ogorek.
Ogorek just misses with a punch to the body.

Ogorek fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dumitru, pushing him back against the cage.
Ogorek is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Ogorek is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Dumitru is defending well for now.
Ogorek is looking for a takedown.
Dumitru has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Ogorek looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Dumitru dodges an elbow strike from Ogorek.
Dumitru is trying to pull guard but Ogorek turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Dumitru tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ogorek smiles and moves away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Ogorek throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Dumitru tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ogorek is in Dumitru's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jurek Ogorek will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Ogorek fails to land the takedown.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Dumitru has taken the fight to the clinch.
Ogorek prevents the takedown attempt.
Dumitru is looking to take this one to the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dumitru creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Ogorek's defenses.

It looks like Jurek Ogorek has been cut.
Ogorek wants to break free but Dumitru has control.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Dumitru pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Dragon Dumitru is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Dumitru shoots for a double leg takedown but Ogorek sprawls well. He's pushed Dumitru's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ogorek changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dragon Dumitru. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Dumitru clinches up with Ogorek and pushes him back against the cage.
Dumitru manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
A frustrated look appears on Dumitru's face as he tries to break the clinch.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Ogorek wants a takedown.
Dumitru is looking to take this one to the mat.
Dumitru manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Dumitru breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ogorek looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A counter left hand to the body from Dumitru misses its target.

Dumitru clinches with his opponent.

Dumitru tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Dumitru tries a body shot but Ogorek blocks it.
Ogorek drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Dumitru manages to pull guard.

Ogorek thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Ogorek slips nicely into half guard.

Dumitru looks like he's trying to stand up.

Ogorek seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Dumitru is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
